Mercedes-Benz VLE Electric Grand Limo Revealed With 700 Km Range, 115 kWh Battery

The Mercedes-Benz VLE Electric Grand Limo has been officially revealed as a new all electric luxury people mover that blends limousine level comfort with the practicality of a spacious MPV. Built on the brand’s next generation van based electric architecture, the vehicle targets premium buyers who want both space and luxury in one package. It is expected to appeal to large families, luxury hotel fleets and executive shuttle services.

Unlike traditional MPVs that focus mainly on practicality, the Mercedes-Benz VLE Electric Grand Limo places strong emphasis on passenger comfort and flexible interior layout. The cabin can be configured with up to eight seats arranged across three rows. Mercedes says the seating arrangement can be adjusted depending on whether the priority is carrying more passengers or increasing luggage capacity. This approach allows the vehicle to offer the spaciousness of a van while still delivering the comfort expected from a high end limousine.

Technology inside the cabin is another highlight. The vehicle runs on the company’s latest Mercedes Benz Operating System (MB.OS), which manages infotainment, connectivity and advanced driver assistance systems. Along with this, the newest Mercedes Benz User Experience (MBUX) interface creates a highly connected digital environment. One of the most impressive features is a large 31.3 inch retractable panoramic display designed for rear passengers. This screen allows occupants to stream movies, play games or even attend video meetings while travelling.

The Mercedes-Benz VLE Electric Grand Limo is powered by a 115 kWh battery pack paired with an advanced 800 volt electrical architecture. This setup allows faster charging and improved efficiency. According to Mercedes-Benz, the luxury electric van can deliver over 700 km of driving range on a full charge based on the WLTP testing cycle. Fast charging capability also stands out, as the system can add around 355 km of range in approximately 15 minutes under ideal conditions.

Comfort remains a major focus of the vehicle. The VLE comes equipped with AIRMATIC air suspension, which continuously adjusts damping to ensure a smooth and stable ride. In addition, rear axle steering improves manoeuvrability and makes it easier to handle such a large vehicle in tight city streets and parking spaces.

Inside, the cabin reflects Mercedes-Benz’s signature luxury styling. Premium materials and elegant trims give the interior a sophisticated look. The lounge style seating layout further improves comfort, allowing the vehicle to function either as a family travel car or an executive shuttle.

Mercedes-Benz will offer multiple electric variants of the VLE. The most powerful version of the Mercedes-Benz VLE Electric Grand Limo is expected to produce up to 409 hp and will feature the brand’s 4MATIC all wheel drive system, delivering better traction and performance in different driving conditions.
