Celebrating One Year of Windsor EV in India
JSW MG Motor India has rolled out a special treat for EV enthusiasts — the MG Windsor EV Inspire Edition. Marking the first anniversary of the Windsor EV’s journey in the Indian market, this limited-run edition (only 300 units) builds on the top-spec Essence variant and brings with it a handful of stylish, interior, and tech upgrades that make it feel a bit more exclusive.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s new.

Cosmetic Changes: A Dual-Tone Flair
The Inspire Edition gets a stunning visual makeover. Offered only in Pearl White, the EV now sports a contrasting Starry Black roof, pillars, and hood—giving it a sporty, almost coupe-like stance. The black alloy wheels add to the premium appeal, while an ‘Inspire’ badge on the D-pillar proudly marks its exclusivity.
MG Windsor EV has also bundled in an accessory pack, which adds to the aesthetic and convenience quotient. Step inside, and the cabin continues this bold theme.
Interior Upgrades: Red, Black, and Gold Drama
Inside, MG has dialed up the luxury quotient. The seats now feature Sangria Red and black dual-tone upholstery, embroidered with ‘Inspire’ branding on the headrests.
The centre armrest has been finished in black, and subtle gold accents across the cabin lend it an elegant, celebratory vibe. The Inspire Edition feels more upmarket and personalised compared to the standard Windsor EV trims.

Feature Enhancements: Smarter and More Luxurious
MG hasn’t stopped at cosmetics — the Inspire Edition also gets several premium accessories and software additions. Standard inclusions now feature:
- 4K dashcam
- 3D floor mats
- Premium cushions
- Leather key cover
- Rear sunshades
Buyers can also opt for extras like ambient lighting for the fixed panoramic glass roof and illuminated sill plates.
On the tech front, the infotainment system now supports two new apps:
- Watch Wellness – Offers wellness and relaxation videos directly on the home screen.
- Book My Service – Lets users schedule vehicle service appointments seamlessly from the touchscreen.
These thoughtful touches show MG’s focus on enhancing both comfort and convenience for EV owners.

Powertrain & Performance
Interestingly, the Inspire Edition is powered by the 38 kWh battery pack, the smaller of the two offered with the MG Windsor EV. It delivers a claimed range of 332 km on a single charge and is paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque.
While it doesn’t get the long-range 50.3 kWh pack, MG seems to be targeting urban buyers who value exclusivity and design over outright range.
