China’s new automobile company Rox Motor launched its first high-tech SUV ROX 01 (also known as Polestones 01) in the year 2023. It is a Range Extender Hybrid SUV, that is, it has an electric motor as well as a petrol engine which charges the battery and allows long distance driving.

What makes it special is that its design has been prepared by the famous Italian design house Pininfarina, which has also worked for supercars like Ferrari and Maserati. Its look and features take it directly to the premium SUV segment.

Rox Motor and ROX 01 launched

Rox Motor company was started in 2021 and within just two years, the brand launched its first SUV in the market. The ROX 01 was introduced in August 2023 and immediately became a topic of discussion, as it is a 5 meter long luxury SUV that gets a combination of both electric and petrol.

Looking at the ROX , it is clear at first glance that it is a big and powerful SUV.

• With fast charging, it can be charged in just 24 minutes (0.4 hours).
• According to the CLTC cycle, its range is from 215 to 306 km (depending on the variant).

In China, it is priced at around $42,000 – $44,000 (approximately ₹35-37 lakh). If it comes to India, it will compete directly with SUVs like Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, BYD Seal U and Hyundai Ioniq 7.
