Kia India has introduced a major warranty update for its electric MPV, giving long-term buyers more protection for one of the most important components of an EV. The Kia Carens Clavis EV Battery Warranty has now been extended to 15 years with unlimited kilometres for eligible first owners.

Kia calls the new programme its Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty, although the actual coverage period is capped at 15 years. The new benefit applies to Carens Clavis EVs retailed from August 1, 2026, while eligible existing first owners also have the option to upgrade their current battery coverage.

Previously, the high-voltage battery was covered for eight years or 1,60,000 km, whichever came first.
